verve

College students constantly balance classes, assignments, jobs, commuting, and personal responsibilities, often leaving them with more work than they can realistically manage. Excessive workloads, unclear expectations, and numerous smaller assignments can contribute to student stress.

We're often told that feeling overwhelmed comes from poor time management, but sometimes the problem is simply having too much to manage.

Verve is a stress-management app that helps students recognize unrealistic workloads, prioritize responsibilities, and make intentional decisions about their time. Rather than encouraging students to do more, Verve focuses on making their existing workload more manageable.

I sent out a user survey to my target audience to gather information on their personal experiences managing academic workloads, balancing responsibilities, and identifying the biggest sources of stress in their daily lives.

For busy college students, Verve makes workload and capacity visible so they can make realistic decisions about their day. We value realism, self-compassion, clarity, autonomy, purposeful effort.

Our Purpose: help students understand where their time and energy go and recognize when workload becomes unrealistic.

The Difference: Verve questions whether the day fits before organizing it. It considers both visible deadlines and everyday responsibilities, including low-value required work.
